The Infrastructure Division develops and maintains infrastructure that supports the foundations of society, focusing on the three areas of electricity, communications, and civil engineering. Our strength lies in our ability to provide not only individual products but also "total solutions" that also cover peripheral equipment, related services, and more, drawing on the broad network, proposal capabilities, and procurement capacities that our identity as a technical trading company gives us. Working together with our affiliated companies, we provide everything from product supply to construction and operational support—all in a consistent, integrated way—to help make social infrastructure more sophisticated and sustainable.
Electricity Business
We quickly select and deliver state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and materials for power infrastructure, including power plants, transmission and distribution networks, and power receiving and transforming facilities. Through collaboration with affiliates that offer strong construction capabilities, we offer one-stop services—complete with installation and update work—and accommodate flexible adaptability to meet construction deadlines and specifications. In addition, we propose solutions for the next generation of electric power infrastructure, including the transition to a decarbonized society and the adoption of renewable energy.
Communications Business
With the spread of 5G, the IoT, and big data, information infrastructure is evolving at an unprecedented speed. Working with our affiliates, we provide end-to-end support—from selecting the right products/solutions to on-site installation and after-sales service—for our customers’ needs. Drawing on our specialized expertise and diverse procurement options, we help advance information and communications environments by making efficient proposals even when specifications and constraints differ from site to site.
Civil Engineering Business
Our civil engineering business plays a major role in urban infrastructure, including road and landscape improvement. We have extensive experience in the installation of underground fiber-optic cables and power lines to make effective utilization of underground space; application of road markings and installation of signs to improve road safety; and construction of sidewalks, curbs, and walkways. Our landscape-improvement efforts include a variety of construction projects that directly affect the urban landscape and everyday comfort, such as the construction of covered walkways outside stations, installation of playground equipment in parks, and urban greening.
